Hey,

I found 2 different ways how to count ATP (using palmitate):
1. According Dr. Goljan, you suppose to get total of 131 ATP.
2. According QBank - you get 129 ATP!!! (131-2=129 ATP, 2ATP are used by FattyAcyl CoA Synthetase).

I am confused raised eyebrow... Does anyone know how this question is expected to be answered by USMLE? 129 or 131?

it looks like both are correct, total atp = 131, Net ATP =129 . Total and net are two different things. So I guess you would have to look at the wording of the question.
