main sources in a fasting state , glycogen first 12 hours, protein from muscle approximately 2 weeks, fatty acids and conversion of acetyl coa to key tones thereafter

uptil 12 hours is glycogen..then is amino acids for a week n then lipolysis...

so amino acids
