Hi everyone!here is my exam experience for u.Iam an IMG,have been studying for step1 for almost 6 months. So today was the big day!My exam was a mixture of everything i guess and i think almost every fact from First Aid was tested,so FA no doubt is a good book and every single line should be memorized. exam environment was very comfortable but u have to manage your time properly cuz questions were very long.i had three or four minutes left before the block ended.took breaks of five minutes after two blocks. If u skip tutorial then u have enough time.now according to subjects: ANATOMY:most of it was neuroanatomy with CT scans or arteriograms and areas of brains marked and lesion was asked.embry was very little with doable questions.some was gross anatomy but basically eazy. PATHO:most of the patho asked was eazy nothing complicated about it. MICRO:lots of questions, some basic some complicated.Lots of questions from v irology specially HIV and H influenza vaccines.antiviral drugs were asked again and again which i kep forgetting. PHARM:i think almost every drug on earth was asked, some were asked twice, that was funny cuz i had so many similar questions asked in different fashions.and some questions seemed they were stolen from Kaplan Q bank.ANS drugs were asked with graphs. PHYSIO:most in graph form, like increase decrease stuff.hormones were asked specially GI hormones and their inc.dec.effects. BEH:most were doctor patient with few substance abuse questions. BIO CHEM:lots of enzyme defects, and other questions too which i think i messed up..... IMMUNO:basic questions not very tough. my advice to you!try to memorize everything that's in First aid!!!!!!!!cuz its very important and do Kaplan Qbank cuz most of the exam questions were qbank style. happy studying.

you should pay attention to first aid in your last month of revision plus add notes to your first aid when u are doing questions from Qbank.Take NBME only after you're done with almost everything atleast one full revision is a must before doing NBME.and actual exam is a mixture of everything.I had some questions that were ditto from kaplan Qbank.some you had to work out like pharma and physio stuff. But most of all i would say to u that make a clear concept of everything you study cuz actual exam is application of your concepts.Manage time properly cuz it matters the most.hope this helps, bye.

Thank you docash for sharing your experience, it gives me some direction, as I am scheduled to take my test 3/22. I was wondering how the increase in the min. passing score, and how test material would play out beginning in 2007. I hope you inform of how things go after you get your score. Since not many have posted about taking the test after 1/1//07. God Bless tee
