I graduated in 2003, and I was also a little rusty whe I started reading for step 1 couple years ago, but you will recover the pace, just don't give up and fight your own desire of doing something else.
Staying home studying whereas everybody else is having a life is not fun, but pays off big time in the future. Keep the goal in mind!

 what a weekend! not a minute to study and lots of physical work to do. Saturday spent in the cold, installing a security door, and yesterday the housewife shift was 14 hours long and I did not finished all the things I wanted to get done. But there is no time for sorrow and self- pity, I am gonna catch up  !!!!! I am gonna try to watch videos all day, and then I will go to the books. For all of those who had a weekend like mine, don't let it spoil your timetable, keep going!!

I have been all over the place since I tried to start the second round. I have watched videos, read the book, did some questions, but ther is no consistency lately in my study, wich make me feel awful guilty. I am gonna do my best today to get back to the book.
I got news from ECFMG yesterday: they need a new traslation of my diploma, which means they are moving forward with the verification of my credentials.

I AM BACK ON TRACK!!
I have kept myself busy with miscellaneus activities, (everything but studying) and enjoying a GORGEOUS weekend with great weather and food. Last thursday and Friday did some test that definitively pinpoint PEDIATRICS as the weakness to beat. That is why today I will watch all the videos that I can. Happy day to everyone!

Hey Rody, I know how you feel, but as I have written here in this forum, you have to find what motivates you, and that will get you on fire. Picture how it would be for you if you don't match next year, and how will you feel when you look back and realize that you wasted your precious time ?
I tell you, I like to do questions, it feels moreproductive, but don't underestimate the importance of reading the boring theory.
Last but not least, PRAY for perseverance and strenght to God. We are all in a very decisive point of our careers that can make or break our future and we owe to our families and those who are supporting us now to do the best we can.
I hope my humble advice help you at least a little, now go for those 30 pages!!

Well said..christina...I have found out what keeps me motivated-some wordings like this...I will definitely look into this again when we I feel wayward..(Hope I don't see it often)

 took two tests of pediatrics from q-book, got 68% and 78%. I have to hammer pediatrics hard, because so many times I had the right answer and changed it. Hope to do better tomorrow

Reading questions and answers seems to be working better for me than going back to the books. I was going to buy the q-bank 1 month before the test, but I may do it sooner, specially because of pediatrics: I keep making stupid little mistakes and doing questions helps me pinpoint them. Nevertheless, today I have been doing great in mixed tests. I hope all of you in this forum have a productive day of study

I got the UW today, and I am taking a beat!! I have answered 50 questions on internal medicine, and my score is 58%. I can feel the rush of adrenaline that I got right before step 1 and that fueled me like nothing else, so this is a good thing. Hope to improve this scores soon!

I have done 390 internal medicine questions from UW. My average... 62%. I am reading every explanation. I hope to be able to finish UW in 3-4 weeks and start Kaplan q-bank.
I invite everyone in this forum to offer a prayer for those affected for the shooting in Virginia. May God embrace their souls and give some consolation to their love ones.

Yesterday I did 90 questions, my average went up from 61% to 62% (Whooping :eek
Today my average did the trip back to 61%. These questions are hard!
