Which one is most likely to reduce risk for Myocardial infarction :

A. cessation of smoking
B. postmenopausal estrogen therapy
C. low doses of aspirin
D.maintenaince of regular exercise

hello asmi i think that the answer is A smoking cessation!
if the patient have previous cardiologic disease the answer would be low doses of aspirirn...
i'm not sure about the answer!!!! i hate that kind of question! :cry:

stop smoking..Since smokers are at greater risk than non smokers

but smoking is the correct answer .

i, too will go with cessation of smoking as among the options given smoking is the only 'major' risk factor (besides hyperlipidemia, DM n HTN)

i cant recall the options but they were really close to each other and also the question had a long stem.
