Hi all

1. I need your advice on How to prepare for postmatch. I know that there are lots of professional organizations which help by e mail and faxing progs for us .but which is best ?. I have applied to progs which accepts applications thro eras.....so Can I scramble only thro eras ?.

2. Does a step 3 score matter for postmatch ?Am after Peds...my scores are 88,89 , am IMG for J1 visa.

3. Is postmatch worth running after ?.

4. I plan to base myself from NY and New Jersey area during the scramble day as I was told that the maximum no: of vacancies arise from these regions. Is it true ?.

5. Should we go to each of the residency prog (knock at the PD's door) in order to chase vacant spots or should we restrict ourselves to phone calls and fax's ?.

6. Should I stay in US for postmatch ?.

7. If I match do I have to hurry to the prog to sign the contract immediately ?.

7. Is there any advice you may wish to give me ?.

Almost everything is answered in previous posts.
personally i feel scramble is very very tough.
its better to be in US. step 3 not needed but may be its a extra qualification. I hardly saw any openings in peds at all.
