Interview on Feb 10th for prelim.
Anyone going there? Anybody has been there? Anyone knows the place?

I don't know it personally, but I friend of mine told me it is a nice program, with plenty of opportunities to make contacts for PGY2 (if they are not already interviewing you for categorical that is). You rotate among 7 or 8 hospitals, some of them really nice she said, and yes they are IMG friendly.

they may convert certain people to categorical at the time of interview, have you heard of this happening at this program? I may see you on the 10th.

I was there yesterday. I met abraham. he is a very nice and elegant surgeon. We talked about everything and we were together all the day. It was very nice meeting him.
The interview was kind of a mass interview. They took photos from us, one with polaroid camera and one digitally. The attending were nice but like surgeons very serious. they asked medical questions and cases. Every one interviewed with 3 people. Before interviews, the chairman and four PD of each hospitals of program gave us presentation about hospitals, program and the chances for categorical and also fellowships.
In the hospital tour, they showed us two laparasopic stimulants for residents, a mannquin for teaching inserting central line, and a sonograph for learning bedside sonography in traumatic patient. It was wonderful. Abraham and I tried with one of those laparascop. It was interesting feeling that you should think 3-D-ally.
The lunch after interview was very relaxing and I really enjoyed it.
It was a good experience for me and it worth going there even if I won't get match this year.
