Most of the programs which sponsor H1b visa r not as good as those which sponsor J1. Is it due to their less sought program that they try to compensate it with an H1 visa?

For what I've seen, most hospitals that offer H1b are community hospitals.

H1b- can be sponsored only by not for profit. most of the universities are for profit.

But according to me most community programs which sponsor h1 r not that gr8. Most good community prog dont sponsor h1. Isnt that right?

i agree that not so good programs try to attract better candidates by offering visas.

however, you could still find universities and great progrmas that sponsor H1B. some that dont sponsor are probably not well informed.

anyhow, you decided which programs to apply and have visited the programs, so you have the best assessment about how good the program is. I recommend you trust your guts.

SO I am just curious, what differnece does it make now?

good luck, harry. wish you the best.

You cant judge a programs worth just by looking the visa it sponsors...I am also curious like ngt -what difference does it make now .

I can only dream of such programs did not get any inv from these. But it was more of an observation that h1 is usualy given by prog which were not as gr8 as J1.

if a great program like henry ford or syracuse or uconn decides not to give a h1 - it is diluting its own applicant pool. its their loss - not urs.

and we shudnt dream of the above programs too. they are for super stellar candidates like ngt and mufurc who have more achievements than we can count..

ur "observation" stems from the fact that most community programs give a h1. ofcourse otherwise they wont fill. but in terms of unis which give an h1 - u have the best of the best giving h1 without compunction if ur a candidate who is good enuf to fit into their program.
