I got my score a few hours ago,I got 87,I graduated 1998,is there any hope to go for residency or better to stope ...? really disappointed.

yes, it is a good score. one of my friend, she got 89 in step 1 and 93 in step2. now she had 15 interviews and got matching.

Absolutely, good score, your can improve in step 2 and you will most likely still get a match.
