Hello,

I will be very thankful if someone can answer my question. The PTAL (California letter) application asks for the SOCIAL SECUTIRY NUMBER.what can IMGS on the B1/B2 visa do about it?
Also when the L5 form mentions ask for CLINICAL COURSES AND CORE CLINICAL COURSES(core clinical elaborated as medicine, surgery, obs n gynae, family medicine)..what does CLINICAL mean then?

Thankyou.

Well, if they want social security number and you don't have it, obviously you can't do much oabout it, unless you find a way to get that number.
The clinical courses mean the clerckships (practice you have done in hospitals during you med school).
Hope it helps, good luck

Thankyou for your replies but i am still a bit confused and need a lilttle more guidance.

1-Instruction in clinical courses shall total a minimum of 72 weeks in length.

2-Instruction in core clinical courses should total a minimum of 40 weeks in lenth with a minimum of 8 weeks in medicine,6 weeks in surgery,6 weeks in obs n gynae,a minimum of 4 weeks in FM and 4 weeks in psychiatry.

now which one is about CLINICAL CLERKSHIPS OR ROTATIONS IN WARDS during medicaal school. And if one os about that, what is the other one about.

I will be thankful if someone clarifies my confusion.
