1. how important is second visit. is it necessary. does it really kill or affect my chances if i don't do that.
2. I m going back after interviews to my home country. do i need to return for match.

Hi aajkal,

1. I think It depends on each prog. One PD told us right after the IV that a second look wont affect a chance of somebody whatsoever (for that prog, of course). But as I said, other PDs may think differently.

2. I dont think you need until you come back to the US in June/July for your residency. I'm not 100% sure about this though.

1. Second look is the exception rather than the rule

2. No, you don't need to return for the match.
