BBB, sir,
In one of your posts, you wrote that we(applicants) can ask the PC, if we are in ther Rank Order List (It is all legal and PC will telll us, without any hesitation, they know all this.).
But you know what, when I called the program of my first priority( for which I have left 3 prematches), PC was very polite, but when I asked her if they are going to rank me during the match, Maaaaaaaaan, she said, I am not supposed to tell you these kinda things and by asking these kinda stuff you are decreasing your chances to be in our program.
I said I am sorry if you mind my question and she said ofcourse I have minded your query
Now what, BBB, I guess every body is not as cool as you

I will tell an applicant IF they are on the list. That is legal according to the match rules.
I will not tell an applicant WHERE they are on the list.

Dear BBB,
is it acceptable to ask programs to be a bit more specific than "whether they rank me or not"? for instance, are they ranking me high, medium, or low?

No. A program isn't supposed to tell a candidate anything but if you are on the list. You can ask, but they aren't supposed to say a thing.

1) I intend to rank them on the top of my list (or very high on my list)
2) I will appreciate any feedback he/she may have regarding my prospects at the program
