You should rank in order of preference, and just let the match process to do its magic... may be you match your #1, may be your #2, who knows but your ranking should be in order of preference. GL

Your order of where you want to work for the next couple of years. Forget what the programs what - what do you want?

Dont I run the risk of being unmatched? IF program A doesnt rank me and I let it be number 1 on my list and I lose out on program B because I didnt rank it number 1? Thanks...bbb, laptop, isther.

in the nrmp webpage explains the whole process, if you rank A as first and A doesn't have you in their list, the computer program will pass directly to your second choice and see if there is a match probability, if choice # 2 has you, then there is a probable match... You should not worry about that, rank in preference order and wait, if a program from your list wants you then it will be alright.
