A few months have passed since my step 1. And here I am back again for step 2. Ready to go, stronger, aiming higher. I missed this forum, reading your posts and comments, so I am happy to be here, a part of it again. for the first month and a half I will be really slow, 'cause I am on a trip back home and busy with lots of other things( I have to confess a lot of them will be fun), but this morning I thought it's time to start, even if slowly...Everybody is welcomed to write here.
I will start with internal. I want to go over all books first then I'll do UW. I'll start with kaplan. But any comments on NMS internal? I have it but I am not sure how useful it is.

i am also starting on my step2... even slower than you
i havent used kaplan much for step1 and i am not sure whether i should for step2. what do you think of blueprints?
best of luck for a great start.
my interval is april may june. keep in touch

Thanx Klimt and Alexae, the truth is from the day I wrote here first so much happened and I couldn't study at all, so today is the actual beginning. hopefully it won't be like the last one, and in fact it can't because I have only 4 months to do both CK and CS.
Alexae I have no idea if blueprints are good for step 2 or not, but I guess I'll stick to kaplan books and NMS internal, My interval is the one starting in June, But I want to sit for the test early June, and for my CS late april. so not much time left. Today I started with Internal I have to go over GI again, I have forgotten everything  . I have to finish Internal in 10 days. that means 35 pages a day. But I want it be a very good reading. And I am also taking notes from what I read. Any ideas if that's possible or not?

The first day was not bad, but not ideal either. I couldn't finish my 35 pages and I was so tired and sleepy at night, today I started later, I should study the endocrin chapter plus a few pages of rheumato, I guess what slows me down is taking notes, but it will be helpfull later, studying for step 1 I regreted not taking notes earlier, later it took so much time. ok let's get back to work. Have a beautiful studying day everone.

hey khorshid!
how are you?, remeber me eh? i wish you all the best for your step2 studies...it'll be the last big hurdle to take (cs and later step 3 are not much of a big deal compared to steps 1 and 2).
YOU DID GREAT IN step one and you will do even BETTER in step two!!!
as for me, i went to a couple of interviews in dec and jan and i finally signed a pre-match. and i feel great!!!!!

Very busy days, couldn't work as much as I wanted to, but I am still sort of satisfied with what I did, still doing internal, today hematology, I wish I could have the chance to read these stuff immediately after step 1, a lot are similar...Need to finish Heme and go on to infectious,I have stopped taking notes, I know that's not good, but it took so much time and slowed me down a lot.

yesterday finished hem, today started infectious, but I am not sure how much progress I'll have, its noon and I have just done 2 pages!!!that's awful. But I'll try my best.

done with infectious, today is nephro and hopefully some pulmonology, yesterday I had time to study more but from the evening till night I didn't study a page, that's not good, I don't have much time to lose, I have scheduled CS for the end of April, don't know when should I start studying for it. ok everybody have a good day.

don't feel bad khlorshid we all have times when things go very slow.....
think about 'gathering all your forces' and getting thinks back on track! if you wanna take the exam by June there's no time to lose, only 3 months to go. so, try to write down a schedule and stick to it! plan every single day for every single hour. i know that's easier said than done, but a good plan and good compliance to the plan might be the key!

Wow, thanks klimt, that's just what I did last night, planning for each day, hopefully I can stick to my plan if so I should be able to finish the first round by early apr. started peds and surgery today. not bad. it's 3 in the afternoon, still a lot of time to study. Thanks again klimt for the encouragement.

going on with peds and surgery, want to start cs too. has anyone tried UW? any recommendations? from tomorrow mornings till afternoons are didecated to ck, and evenings are for cs. not much left till cs, I shouldn't underestimate it.
I am going to close my eyes for a few secs and then continue with ortho...

4 pages left to finish the first part of surgery, and 25 pages of peds to do today....I haven't started for CS yet...it's 3:30 and usualy I am not that great in the evenings, but I have to try hard...

It's a new day again, time to study, all in all I'm one day behind my schedule, which is not really bad I guess, but I could do better.As for surgery I am working on the vignnettes and still working on peds. Surgery doesn't seem to be that hard, I should see Qs though...

Peds is finished, yesterday I started ObGyn, I was busy with a project in the weekend so I am still one day behind my schedule. It's a cold day here, but Tomorrow is the beginning of Spring, or Norooz (New day) as they say in Farsi. It's the beginning of the new year, and the most beautiful time of the year, Happy norooz, and happy spring ...

Working on CS from UW. It's kind of boring, need to do 30 pages of obgyn and it's already noon here. I have only a few hours left, cause I can't study in the evening. Sometimes during the day I get really worried and I ask myself what if I don't match this year? what if...? But I guess that's just how it is for everyone here.
So let's have faith in ourselves. We'll do great. We have to.

step by step khorshid, dont think of matching now for with your step1 score and with your progress you surely will.
just put all your power in scoring as highly as possible in step2.

Thanks Falcon, you're right, I should focus on the tasks immediately in front of me, (btw wish u a great new year falcon ), I am just not putting all my energy though, don't know why, every morning I keep telling myself I should really take it seriously and I don't have much time...and I study well and fast till noon, and then suddenly my brain locks! The whole afternoon I just do nothing, or no important and useful thing actually...And then the day is gone, semiwasted...
But lets see if I can change it today, if I can study efficiently till evening, oh and then I "have to" go to a very boring party...
Wish you all a very happy studying day, and hopefully I'll be commited to my schedule today.

Hi Khorshid,I see that u r so busy with CK and CS together...... Dont loose heart friend,, remember ur step 1 days.....u had slow days fast days disappointed days and great days but eventually everything u read, each word and each sentence counts..... so just keep on moving, u will definitely reach ur goal....

Thanks a lot dr.bin for the kind words, you're right, there are all these different moods and days, its important to move on despite them all. I am busy with my CS right now. I guess I got a little worried about it and I want to dedicate a few days so that I'll gain confidence hopefully.

busy busy days, a project I have, Cs and ck...oh god how I wish these few months to pass by sucessfully...I have finished Obgyn, started psych yesterday, today I'm starting with cs, hopefully I'll read 25 pages of psych after that...it is a beautiful spring day here, I came to this cafe where I ususlly study during the day, I have enough energy to start right now, hopefully I'll be like this the whole day.

It's been a long time since I last wrote here, things have not been that smooth or great, but I'll give my CS in a few days, and then hopefully I can start studying for step 2 full time again...there have been many ups and downs in the past days, but today I feel a bit better, I am just reading some CS cases...good luck with you all, I'll soon join you again in our marathon for step 2.

I am done with CS, though I have no idea about the outcome.
Time to work on CK again, today's target: 30 ps of psychiatry(to finish it) and to start reviewing internal.
