DO I DO KNEE EXAM FOR LIGAMENTS IF THERE IS NO HISTORY OF TRAUMA

AND LET'S SAY SOMEONE WITH KNEE TRAUMA AND HIS KNEE IS PAINFULL AND SWALLEN , IF I DO FIRST RANGE OF MOTION HOW AM I GOING TO CHECK THE LIGAMENTS AFTER THAT, I'M REPEATING PAINFULL MANUVERS IF I DO.

1. UW and FA doesn´t ask you to do it, so consider not doing it. 2. If knee it´s painful on ROM, I would tell the SP: it´s necessary to examine your knee ligaments, if any of the manuvers causes you any pain, please let me know (and I would say sorry for thay to the SP) and I won´t repeat the manuever again. If pain it´s out of proportion I would tell him it´s not possible to examine the rest of you ligaments because of the sever pain you´re having so I would give you some pain medication and examine you after that for your comfort. Maybe the SP will complain of pain during a manuever but not during the others since he knows you´re supposed to do those test and allow you to do it in order to examine you, we will see
