the parents of a healthy,mentally retarded,pregnant 17 year old want you to perform an abortion.the girl wants to keep the baby whom test have shown has down syndrom.
what does the physician do?
refuse parents "because the patient doesnot want an abortion,I cannot do it"
Recommend adoption.
recommend abortion as baby has down syndrome
obtain sample to establish true diagnosis of down syndrom in the fetus

mentally retarded.probably unable ot give informed consent and parents probably have done that so go with what parents want for her( abortion)
