The international test delivery surcharges for USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK will increase, effective January 1, 2007. The new surcharges will apply to individuals who submit exam applications to ECFMG on or after January 1, 2007. The increases range from $10-$20 for Step 1 and $15-$35 for Step 2 CK, depending on testing region.
The international test delivery surcharges represent the additional cost of offering Step 1/Step 2 CK by computer outside the United States and Canada. Individuals who apply to take Step 1/Step 2 CK in an international testing region pay a surcharge. Individuals who apply to take these exams in the United States or Canada do not pay a surcharge.
