they don't have better choices

Imaging Studies

Transvaginal sonography (TVS) is useful for screening high-risk women but has inadequate sensitivity for screening low-risk women

Ultrasound is helpful in differentiating ovarian masses that are benign and likely to resolve spontaneously from those with malignant potential

Color Doppler imaging may further enhance the specificity of ultrasound diagnosis

us will tell weather its cystic have solid areas uni or multilocular etc

I guess is US; it doesn't rule out the malignancy but can tell us more than physical exam.

E ) Pelvic ultrasonography

E... enlarged ovaries after menopause is never normal and is malignancy unless and until proved otherwise.
The best option to go for is Laporotomy, do unilateral salpingooophorectomy, send for frozen sections and decide accordingly, since that is not available E is the most likely answer.

US....to measure the thickness of endometrium. It should be <5mm in postmenopausal women
