Hi,
People from India...can anyone give me an idea how much time does the verification process of ur degree takes coming back. the ecfmg had sent my degree in August end and as yet have not heard anything from my college. Is it usual to take so much time? I have to sit for my exam in January.

It doesn't take so long normally, I think you should Contact your med school about it.

ECFMG usually does'nt tell you but your Med School in India normally needs a nominal payment before they send the verification.
Contact them - or better yet a colleague/family and ask them to pay and then reimburse them - in my case it was Rs 1000; I really wish ECFMG would post this on their site - it is a comon yearly problem.

please keep follow up with your college.i will say on weekly basis...i am having horrible experience with all this verification process....applied last jan....still incomplete because of my college dept.you can give step1 and 2 without it.make sure they will complete the process before your step2.
