can anyone can tell which drugs are best for each of cardiac arrythmia , examination point of view . what is best for atrial tachycardia-one or two drugs to simplify learning!!!!!!!!!!!

For Atrial fibrillation - 1.Verapamil
2.Digoxin

For Post-MI arrythmias and Ventricualr arrythmias - IV LIdocaine

SVT'S : IV esmolol

I thought digoxin was an inotropic agent used to treat heart failure... why would you use if for cardiac arrhythmias

Slows down av nodal transmission via a parasympathetic effect on the heart (digoxin).
