1- Gag: Viral core protein P17, P24

2-Pol: Protease, integrase, reverse transcriptase, RNAse H

3- Env: gp 120, gp41

4- Tat: Transcriptional transactivator( > gene expression); essential for replication.

5- Rev: transition from early to late gene expression; protein transport from nucleus to cytoplasm; essential for replication.

6- Nef: Transcrpitional silencer; may produce latent infection.

7- Vif: Viral infectivity gene; cell to cell transmission

8- Vpu: Viral protein U; viral particle export.

9- Vpr: Viral protein R; activates viral and cellular promoters
