Hello there
I had a question again........
I was wondering how to take the NBME exams. What I mean is that can you take them at any time you want, or do you have to apply for them. The reaosn I am asking is cuz I am currently studying for the step 1 and I just wanted to see where I stand at the moment. I am planning on taking my exam mid mayish. But before that I wanted to tkae a few of those NBME exams just to prepare myself for the kinds of questions I will be facing.
Can anyone please let me know how to apply for those exams, or where I can find then form.....the fees for each exam, and where I need to go write them. I am a little bit confused as to how they work.

Chill Dude !!
NBME is a good assesment to kno where U stand jus b4 the exam.
There are only 4 forms each costing 45$,
If U want a prelimnary asssessment Y dont U go 4 some Q bank which is easily available, 4 no cost almost,not the NBME(which is a penultimate exam source) Unless U hav 2 much 2 spend.
I wud suggest u 2 try the FRED software from the USMLE website 4 a good simulation at this point......Google search 4 that 1...

Thank you soo much for replying. But I am still a little bit confused. I dont mind spending the money for those NBME exams, but where do I find them from? Also I dont know what you mean when you say that the mark will be a preultimate score. Do you mean that it will be counted or a part of my history?
Lastly......where do I find those softwares yur talking about? I have heard of Qbanks and stuff, but do I need to apply for that stuff?
I took yur advice and I have started searching for the FRED software and other Q-banks.

Its a dessert,....... not an appetizer !!!
