I have a question... my wife is considering FM, but we don't know if as a FM resident you have to stay overnight at the hospital... as if so, is at the same frequency as IM???

I'll appreciate if you give us a hand...

YES, and almost the same depend on which pgm. Opposed pgm (there are other pgms in the same hospital, such as OBGYN, IM, Surg, etc) has less calls, but unopposed pgms take as many calls if not more. Check a few FM pgms and you will find specific info.
