Parents bring their 7-year-old girl to the hospital after having fever for the last 6 days. The mother is worried about her eyes which have become red, and thinks that something has spilled in them. On physical examination her vitals are, Temperature: 39.4C(103F); PR: 120/min, BP: 110/60; RR: 24/min. Significant examination findings include injected pharynx, erythematous palms and a left sided cervical lymph node enlargement (1.7 cm). The trunk showed erythematous, blanching rash with no rash over the face.

Labs revealed

ESR 38mm/h
Hct 46%
WBCs 12,000/mm3
Platelets 500,000/mm3

Urine analysis:
Protein Positive
WBCs 7/hpf
RBCs Negative
WBC & RBC Casts Negative

What is most appropriate next step in management?

i think its KAWASAKI DISEASE, the treatment is ASPIRIN AND IV IMMUNOGLOBULINS, ASPIRIN is indicated in children with rheumatoid arthritis,rheumatic fever and kawasaki disease.

what is the reason for protein in urine.
