Hi Desi, Having step 3 in hands is always a big plus for your application. You have excellent scores of step 1 and 2, why are you scared of taking step 3????? I know you want to play safe because you got 2 excellent scores already but why dont you make 98 or 99 for step 3?..... Anything can happen in life but I personally dont think you will get a bad score, base on your previous impressive scores. Good luck

anytime you do bad or fail an exam of-course it will have some negative effect on your application.

if you dont do anything, you dont fail, but... then again... you dont do anything and dont move towards your goals, right? study hard, with confidence and you will succeed, good luck, ngt.

simple answer, bad/fail score decrease your chances. superb score increase your chances. that being said, it is the overall application that counts, and in that package step 3 is not the most important factor, because no program screens people out based on step 3 score (as opposed to step 1 score or number of attempts in step 1). hey even residents fail step 3, so relax!!! if you did good in step 1 and 2, why would you do bad in step 3. anything can happen, but use the same study approach. good luck, ngt.

It doesn't really matter if you score on the 70sss as long as you passed (mean need to be 75 and above)
