im preparing my step 2 ck over the holidays. getting 62% qbank so far and taking my exam march 1st (exactly 2 more months to go) I plan on doing usmle world after qbank. last year i also spent my holidays studying and took my step 1 right after. i passed and did great!

I wish all of you preparing for this exam the best of success and for the new year. May all your wshes come true! For those like me preparing over the holidays it can be hard especially when you see your friends having a blast and everybody uniting again after a long time. Just try and focus on your preparation and think as soon as this exam is done what will I have missed, not much! So, dont worry and keep going, your exam will be over soon and you will probably have even saved money not going out and enjoying the holidays, im not saying stay at home and get depressed, do go out and try and have some fun but dont get caried away once you do that its hard to get back on track, time flies and before you know it you'll have your exam over with and youve only got one shot at it. Im spendiong this holiday with the love of my life my books! especially since my girlfriend dumped me last week, it has actually motivated me even more to study! For all you know this can be the last holiday you spend preparing for a usmle exam in your lifetime!! do it well now and you can kiss it goodbye forever!

good luck everyone and all the best for the holidays, christmas, hannukah... Be well and ENJOY your prep and just think every day is an investment in your future not a lost day in your life, very day is worth an extra day in your lifetime if you spend it studying!

Dr Pinto,
Happy Christmas, and New Year 2007.
I think we are in the same boat, as my three-month window is Jan-March and most probably I will write it not earlier than end of Feb-early March. I'm doing UW and almost half through it, I'm gonna take just the first few days of Jan off.
Good luck with studying and I'm sure your hard work will pay off.
Study hard and keep smiling.
