Hi! y speed of reading is really bad I get stuck up and keep doing the same thing over and over again until I feel I know it well. I request the forum members to guide me on how to study. Like how should the first reading be- just readin kaplan notes? How to go about first aid ?It so important to know every word in that book. Please tell what strategies u have used to memorize. Thank you.

i think first reading shud be just to understand the material without worrying about memorization and retention.u shud follow the kaplan lecture notes and supplement them with video or text books IF u really don't understand what is going on.u add fa in the second reading. though the actual plan depends on several factors it is just a gross suggestion.

jaisiyaram ~ one mistake that I did during my first read and one that definitely ALL should avoid is to avoid spending too much time on factioids that are memorization-dependent eg gene defects, chromosome associations, gene loci, inbron errors .. there is NO use spending too much time on these on your first read, becoz you WILL forget them soon. The ONLY way to tackle this is to make flash cards for them and flip thru these whenever you can. I could have easily shaved ~2weeks from my first read if I would have started using this strategy sooner ... the KEY to step 1 is REPITITION ... hence getting stuck on facts that you WILL forget anyway in the next week or so ESP in the first read is of no use... hope this helps, good luck Jay

Thanks to all who reponded to my post. I am trying to go thru my first read faster. I downloaded kaptime, it has helped me in organizing my studies.
