stepup1: here is a method that I used when I was practicising my Qbank - hope this helps! Make sure that you review the answers for each set of the Qs that you do on the Q bank. I used the following categories to classify my WRONG answers: 1. Stupid Mistakes (Qs that I got wrong due to stupid mistakes - not having read the Qs properly or having known the answer but having still marked the wrond choice etc) 2. Should Haves (Qs for which I couldnt recall the right answer during the block, but are of the kind that you definitely should know for the real exam eg drug sideffects or tx for MRSA, gene loci etc etc) 3. Maybes (Qs that are fair but difficult to answer typicaly stuff from CVS pathophyisol etc) 4. Never (idiotic Qs that are tough and were never covered in Kaplan or FA). Basically, your goal should be to minimize the first two groups and possibly reduce the third one - dont sweat over the last group. This is obviously a subjective classification, but it really helped me a lot. Also remember that Quality matters over Quantity in doing the Q bank - dont just rush into doing too many Qs on one day - aim for about 200-250 and make sure that you review the answers well. If you are short of time, make sure that you cover atleast the CVS, CNS, Pathophysiol, Beh Sci, Pharma, Immunol etc .. I mean make sure that you prioritize and cover the 'more important' stufff if you are running short of time. best of luck! Jay

Hi stepup1, do an nbme exam, I hear it is the best way to compare your grade to the real exam, if you do good on the nbme exam go for it, if not pospone. It depends whether you just want to pass o ace the test. I've posponed my exam a lot, and someone in the forum once told me that you never feel really prepared to take the exam and anxiety kicks in. But you can now for sure after the NBME exam, it only costs 45 dlls. Good luck on your decition, keep us posted.
