Dears, greetings: My exam is due Dec 28, but uptil now, I did not review much MCQs. In addition, I still have to revise pharma and Behavioral Science. I have already extended my period and it ends on Dec 31. Please, let me know how could I proceed during the next time. If I have to postpone, I will reapply and pay the fee again . So, when could I take the exam again after cancelling? Can I take it on February 2007 or around this time? Thanks.

Mate are you kidding us or your self? You haven't done any questions? You seem to have already taken 6 months to prepare for this exam? and yet you don' t think you have given it your all. Im only being harsh and realistic because I dont think these exams can be played around with.Unless you know some one who is ready to just grant you a residency no matter what your scores. Good luck to you.If you really want a good answer to your question I suggest you ask a Kaplan expert or someone you know who has taken this exam.

Thanks medocuk, but I am really serious. I got a problem during my preparation that affected me for a while. If you revised my Q, you will find that I did not say I did not do MCQs, just not much MCQs; it differs. Also, I asked about postponing and which the earliest time I could attend the exam again. So, be calm and do not annoy yourself with my Q, please, leave others help if you do not want to do. Regards,

I have asked many, most of them were already helpful, not just critics. They suggested doing First Aid besides Qs. untill the last minute.

I would suggest that you do atleast the high yield subjects from the Q bank like Immunol (often ignored by many, but heavily tested), CVS, CNS, esp pathophysiol etc. Also, stick to FA for revising all your stuff. goodluck, Jay

normally it takes abt 2 mnths after ur initial period has expired then u r able to reapply for the exm Iwould suggest giving NBME form to know where u stand. Medocuk is being Harsh but true in a sense that only u know where u stand n no matter is on the advicing end he or she will advice on their experience but u r the only one who knows where they stand u have to be true to urself thats all trust ur instincts n u will know wht u need to do. Give an Nmbe see where u stand n whether u can improve urself in the short amount of time but i will say something if u think u cant handle the pressure or arent sure of urself then rethink cos its better to have no result rather having failed on the report think very hard n build urself some confidence this definitely will help u as regards to revision just do wht u have done see where it takes u dont nething new it be might not yield nething but disaster SO GL to u n us all

Dr Neo: I wasn't trying to demoralise you.Yes I was shocked that you would think of taking the exam when you think you are underprepared.Don't do it, is what I was trying to say.It is better to spend some time and money now than to regret it later. If you are cancelling this test schedule than you can make a fresh application and the same rules will apply.Which will probably give you 2 months in the interim just like New-n-lost mentioned. I suggested you ask some expert because they have dealt with a lot of cases and they can help you channelise your efforts. I do wish you good luck.I don't see why we shouldn't all do well and get what we want. New-n-lost: Thanks for understanding what I was trying to say. Cheers.
