Hi
I was wondering is the program director is the only one who have the power to choose the residents. or it is the hospital CEO. Does the hospital board make a vote . or it differ from one place to another

Hi Maohelgamal,

This is our first interaction and am not clear whether you were asking one question? or multiple? or serial?

I will answer it in "all of the above" mode till you respond.

The PD cannot be personally inteviewing e'candidate. SO the faculty members who did interview you will have a good say in the resident choosing game. Now for the rest of your questions. The PD will be chosen by the CEO. And the CEO will be voted for by the Hospital Board. Hence it is true that it differs from one place to another as who is voted for and by whom.

dear doc-keanu. My question was who choose the residents not the PD. I guess it differs in every hospital. I just was asking if someone know if there is a rule or a law that govern that process. but I don't think there is
