A 17 year old boy is brought to clinic and require sutures for a laceration on his left calf sustained during football practice at his pre school, a military academy where he lives full-time on campus. His parents live in another state, 800 miles away; the doctor is unable to reach either parent by phone. From whom does the doctor receive permission to treat him?
A. the boy himself, he is an emancipated minor
b. the dean of students at the prep school
c. the boy's football coach
d. the boy's family physician in his hometown

I chooose A. But the answer is B. Can anyone tell me why it's not A? Thanks!

He is at his pre school, a military academy, but not a military man. so, not emancipated, I think.
That's a Harrison's, right?
