I really admire all those people who take these tests while doing full-time jobs or while taking care of children. I just dont know how to manage my time , how to schedule everything so that i meet all my deadlines while studying only in the evening 4-5 hrs. My test is in exactly 3 weeks and all this time i was studying and taking care of my 2.5 yrs old all day but now im feeling my preparation is not enough. I can't concentrate on reading while every 5 min he calls me for something during the day. In the evening when my husband comes i do get 4-5 hrs but just dont know how to squeeze all this material in that short time. i have completed 2 readings of kaplan LN, more than half of UW and kaplan qbank and now im trying to revise from firstaid. Any suggestions? Should i postpone my test?

COntinue to do UW and Kaplan qbank Sarika, get points form their explanations, then take NBME, if your score over 500, take the exam.

Good luck.

I'm in the same boat! left with 3 weeks, lots to do! Though I don't have any baby, but can't take out a lot of time in the day.. But gear up, you are already there! few more miles to go! Don't loosen up, I personally feel postponing exam won't serve any purpose, In general ppl who postpone their exam aren't better scorers,, accept the challenge & give it your best!!
wish u luck!

You are doing okay. I work full time but I dont have kids and that helps. Kids can be full time work and more....anyways take the NBME that will really tell you where you stand. If you score 450 and up.....take the exam.....if not postpone read once more and take another NBME....do not take more than 2. UW and Kaplan is what I am doing....I usually take off some hours during work time and study there. At home too many distractions....I have done Kaplan 1 time with notes on flash cards for all subjects and UW 75% done (scoring 62%). I took NBME 1 about two weeks back and it was around 400....not good and OBGYN killed me. So now I am reviseing OBGYN and RESP.....will give NBME2 in Jan first week. My exam is in Jan end so I still have some time.......fingers crossed.....
