Hi folks, Does anyone know what the average salary is for doctors in oncology and/or hematology? How is it compared to cardiology and gastro?

Most hospitals have a standarized salaries scale from PGY1 to PGY8... if your hospital has such scale then the salary as a fellow will be the same regardless the specialty you choose.

Or do you mean when they start practice after residency?? The best answer would be a web search for that

Agree with bbb. I guess drsweden might mean salary for physicians after starting practice. You can google "physician salary". I think hemo/oncology is not as high as cardio and GI in salary. But still good, around 200k.
