I am Old IMG, I just finished with Beh Sc. Is there any Old IMG who want to be partner with me. I am planning take Step 1 on October 07 and we can agree with the next subject.

Askdoc. I am reading first, viewing Kaplan video-lectures then and answering q at last. But only i got 50-60% . Some advice? Thank you friend.

Hey Guys,

I am a old grad too. Passed MBBS in 1987. I am due to take the step 1 on March 5th. I worked hard at the prep . But now it seems like I have not retained any thing. Like a slate wiped clean. I am going to go through the exam anyway. Lets see what happens.shaking head

Hotobhaga , are you getting enough sleep ? To me it sounds like a sign of lack of sleep.

Your hard work will pay off. Have faith in yourself.

Wish you the very best of luck nod

dear bbb,
Hai, I was reading your post since last many days,I wanted to ask you some ques.First let me tell you something about myself.I am a old IMG. i did my graduation in 1986, My MD in 1990 in OBGYN from India.I gave my USMLE step 1&2 in 93/94. At that time the scores never used to go so high. I got 78/75/ Didnot apply for residency due to family reasons. Came to USA 5 mths back. I thougt that my ECFMG certification has expired so I joined KAplan and wanted to give step 1 and 2 to improve my scores. When I contacted ECFMG for verification of my credentials, I was shocked to hear that the policies have changed in 2004 and my ECFMG certificate is still valid.I was happy and said at the same time because I could now apply for residency and sad because i could not improve my scores.I have to give CS, but I can apply for the 2008 match.I wanted to ask you that does such a long practical experience and commitment to your subject balance the low scores.I have worked as consultant for 16yrs and a very good vaginal surgeon.Do the programme director give weitage to this. How can we let them know all this because if you are not called for interview seeing your low scores than their is no way to convey them all this. Please reply. i gather from your post that you are in the coordinator to the programme director
regards
Dr. Mrs Anjali Vyas
