I want to learn the visual difference between AML and ALL. Today I went to the Webpath site but all those WBC's look the same to me. Anyone have any suggestions for a source which will help me clear up the difference between the two visually? Thank you! Avi

AML presence of auer rods, if you get a questions about aml is will have a picture with auer rods. You also have to know the translocation of the m3 subtype t (15:17). Treatment is all trans retinoic acid which causes them to mature to normal cells

adding to ankylostoma.
ALL is common in children and elderly with Cd 10 +
AML is common in middle age with auer rods (peroxidase positive granules)

my advice when it comes to ALL, AML, CLL, CML age brackets really help
look at the age of the patient
