Kaplan Qbank USMLE

I took Step 3 on November 2 and 3 and passed. I did the NBME exam on Oct 19. I made a 450 on the NBME exam which really does not give you a correlation of how you would do on the real thing but tells you that the mean is 500 with a SD of 100. My score on USMLE STEP 3 was 201/82. I am pleased with my score and don't really care if I had made 240 or 184 but just wanted to give my correlation. I did not read any preparation books but I did do a lot of questions. If I had to do it all over again, I would do the USMLE WORLD questions and just study the ish out of them. This would be my main study base and I would use the Kaplan Q book questions to give my some supplemental help. USMLE WORLD is by far the most high yield study you can do for the test. Trust me, I did questions from all over the place. If you have to, you should do them twice, then take the NBME and if you score b/w 430-500, go take the test.

Hi Junekat,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Can u please tell me, u r sure about how many Q s in a block? I took my exam recently and i am sure about only 10-15 Qs in a block. I am worried whether i am going to pass this hurdle or not.

Appreciate ur help..
Thanks & Good luck with match.
