Hey jase, I guess you are residing in Canada, I am also so if the time is same why is not my oasis updated yet, it is still saying "Our records indicate that you are already registered for this Step or Step Component. You may not apply for a Step or Step Component"

Hi, I took mine on 11th of October but they haven't updated mine although I have seen that they have updated results of 17th October's examinee? I dont know w hat's the matter, may be they have only updated the ones who are passed for sure.......as none so far is failed...it's just my thought.......what do you say?
Thanks

  #16

Also, on my OASIS, the date is changed but there is no mention of score reporting date so it means I am not getting my result this week? Is it?
Thanks

Hi Cs_usmle_can,

I don't man, I hope that your result is positive. God bless you my Freind.

I passed!!!! Took my exam Sept 25! I woke up at 330am just to check it [no alarm clock :-)]. I was waiting for it til 1245am but ended up sleeping because it was still not updated for me. I really have God to thank for and my husband, family, friends and most importantly my study partners. Hard work really does pay off. For those of you out there still preparing for it, find a study partner. It helped me sooo much. Big time. The last two days, just practiced on a pillow. Try doing neuro in 2-3 minutes. Never really could but as I kept trying, I got it down to 3-4 minutes. I don't know if it made a difference but I did cardio and respi (only auscultation if it was not a cardio or respi problem) for all cases. I had one case where I only had one differential -- that was what I thought would make me fail. Try to at least have 2-3 to save you the worry. But for that case, my history and PE were very complete. Empathize big time. Counsel big time. If you have a diagnosis in mind, explain that and the test you think is needed. I usually had words like -- I have to do imaging tests on your brain or stomach or kidney etc because I suspect that you may have an abnormility there and have to run some blood tests to rule out other possibilities. Just make sure you have a script in mind when you are running out of time so that it will make a point on the checklist if you don't have the time to thoroughly explain it. But if you do, explain it like any doctor would do. Have a short script in mind as well for counseling for alcohol, smoking etcetera. It is really time saving if you already do. Don't forget to place right or left when you write down your PE. For example pain upon abduction of right shoulder, knee or whatever joint involved. I think I may have forgotten this in one case. Not sure. Don't ever forget to palpate because I sometimes forgot to. I don't think I have anything else. Practice patient's notes days before your exam. Don't also take for granted the challenging questions. I just concentrated on what was given on the first aid. Did first aid and Uworld. I am just so happy.
