Hi Medocuk! Thank you so much for stopping by at my journal and sharing encouragement when I really needed it. How is the syudying going so far with micro?

  #79

Hi Edie. Thanks for coming by.

So I started with Bacterial resistance chapter. It was taking me ages to complete so I heard 2 hours of Goljan and did a few more molecular biology questions.

MW called and wanted to explain DNA synthesis to me.Listening to some one, and filling their gaps only increases your own strong understanding of the subject. So we have decided to complete Genetics and discuss syndromes etc along with Kaplan questions over the weekend.

She also told me about comprehensive reviews time table that was proposed by their college and how when she followed that she got a 480 on her NBME 1.

She gave me some idea and I was up until 3 making my time table. We both agreed that I didn't have a definite plan unlike what I should have. I also watched a movie.I was that tense.I tend to watch movies when I am tensed.I don't resort to TV.

Anyway so here is my plan for today:
FA: Behavioural Science, Biochemistry, Pharmacology.
Subjectwise Kaplan CD 100 QS.
lectures at the end of the day or in the afternoon.

It sounds a lot to me at this instance. But there are students out there who are doing more.So what they are younger and smarter, I know I can do this.

Hi there,

I just read your posts and your story. You are so courageous so you can do the best.
Did you finish your step 2?
Your plan and your working now are so great 14-15hrs per day! May I join you with the preps?

I am back to my track last week with 4-5 reading hours per day and I am on Biochemistry

Good luck to your preps, Medocuk!

Hey huyniid: I think I've seen you around. Thanks for stopping by and your kind words.I wish I was sensible and hardworking too.

Anyway So today was a better day thought I haven't really achieved all that I had planned to do. MW was right there is absolutely no time in all of this to even breathe

But here is what I did do.FA Behavioural Science, Goljans Cell injury. Molecular biology questions.

I need to do few more questions for to make it a 100.Also I plan to listen to one hour of Goljan and a bit of Biochemistry before I sleep.

  #82

Back long for tom FA Pharmac and Biochemistry.I really need to buck up.I so want to do this.

  #83

I did 65 questions last night.I don't think I can out smart the well laid plan and do `100 questions instead of the 50 they recommend. So I shall stick with it.

50 questions today with complete review.
FA: Biochemistry, Pharmac Backlog... Micro, Immuno and Cardiovascular. Damn this list is getting longer.

Lectures.Since I didnt listen to any yesterday, I have to do 8 hours worth listening to day.

Life is hard already..But it is 8 am..lovely day no distractions that I know of for now..So lets get started.

Have a nice day ye all.I didn't see any updates on anyone's journals. But watch out I will be back..smiling face)

  #84

I think I will post my scores in the questions I do too.

Yesterday, Molecular Biology, 7/15..Behavioural Sciences: 37/50

Today: Pathology 25/ 50.

I still have to review the answers..Slow day..but steady. Will come back tonight.

  #87

Hi Medocuk, just wanted you to know that I quoted the most excellent advice of yours from Jole's journal, about passive vs. active reading. Am making a new experiment for myself based upon this advice smiling face Happy studying and Happy Saturday grin

  #88

Oh, one more thing--how'd you find a pic of me to use for your avatar???? gringringrin

  #89

Hi edie I am having really crap study day.. sad

  #90

Me too. Am so tired! Had to stop and help out a neighbor with her gardens. She's 92, and has the most beautiful flowers all around her house. So, this is the second day for me that wasn't totally dedicated to studying. Now, I am sooooo drained. I know I need to get busy or else fall behind. Oh, well.

  #91

Edie: Well better ask that lady to pray for your exam.

Today I have woken up very motivated.I plan to complete Genetics with questions review.I am doing 50 questions a day..I really want to do 100.

My reading is way off mark, actually very off mark but I should work around my time table and catch up.

Ive been invited for a play today. My afternoon is so going to go.

  #92

hey there! i just read ur journal and must say that im impressed at how u have been doing, it takes alot to be determined and stay focused, but u knowing what u really want helps, im sure u'll do great and ill always put u and all my step 1 friends in prayers, remb that with God all things are POSSIBLE......happy studying!

  #93

Thanks Afrocaribb...But like some one said..There is a huge difference in having a dream and actually doing some thing to achieve it.I have a dream. All I need to do is to achieve it.

Good luck to you too, and thanks I do need the prayers.

Ill be back in a day or two..I'm falling behind in schedule.I will catch up and be back.

BTW I watched the musical Hair and it was awesome.

  #94

YEAYS! I am doing a lil happy dance jiggy now..Thanks Gogeta for dropping by.Now I feel so awesomely motivated.

Well wont put down the backlog as that is depressing, but I do have a plan for today. Also I think I jot down my plans and I am so content i have a plan that after that I do nothing about it.

So here is what I am going to do today.I am going to achieve and achieve lots and then I am going to tell you what I did.See ya.

  #99

Hey wow..I have never had so many visitors. This is getting even better.

Huyniid: Hieeeee! Thanks, and wish you a great week of studying too.Yes I have completed Genetics along with discussing it with this really helpful nice person. She has just passed on some popluation genetics questions to me from her school. So will do that some time..

Here is a question for you, how many Barr bodies would a person with Turner's Syndrome have?

Sahashra: Hey thanks for stopping by. I need the motivation and I can't believe I do that for anyone. But I am happy. You sound like you have a plan.Get going. We all can do this.

CocaCola: Hi, Thanks. Good luck to you too. smiling face

  #100

medocuk, it's a hard Qs for me:

Turner syndrome and Mary Lyon hypothesis

In classic Turner Syndrome (45 XO) no Barr body
In variants (delete variants or mosaic varriants) still have Barr body, due to the remaning X

Correct me if I am wrong
