Some programs just look at the facet of multiple attemts and do not care of final results. i got rejected this year form 4 programs just because of sole fact that I passed my Step 1 from second attempt (everything else with first) - they wrote me that directly... So, maybe most of the program are looking more carefully, but there are definetely some that just filter candidates trhough very strict requirements.

Actually I know some with multiple attemps in residency now. It's not a death sentence, but it's more difficult than first attempt. Good luck!

yes, you can check on the website of the program, they usually specify if it is only one attempt. I wasn't very careful with reading the each program requirements, so I guess it is my fault to apply to those programs in the first place...

Some program are very strict with their written requirements, some are not. But some also have unwritten requirements they won't tell us. Good luck!

the funny thing is , that many people think the same way - I choose less competitive, and then boom! - these "less competitive programs" suddenly become competitive....

be sure to call program and ask specifically if they consider applis with attempts. meaning they are not screening u out.. i know ppl with cs attempt but great scores who have got into good places. but dont give usmle's with an intention that u will pass it this time or the next. every extra attempt is bad..
