Hi guys , i just came to know that made a blunder in my PS , i wrote EM as my intrest as a fellowship without knowing that it itself a separate residency and applied to Internal medicine programs , somebody said mention the fellowship program u r intrestd in the PS and i wrote it as EM , well,i just spoke to one of the residency boards with whom i m doing the observership they said its a big mistake that i did ,nothing can be done now ,

I think you still can change your PS, and submit new one through ERAS. But the problem is, if program already called you usually they already have the print out of the old one.
Otherwise, just tell the truth and be honest. Good luck!

you can defend EM with your application for prelim IM .... One can opt for EM as a subspecialty after doing 1 yr of M as prelim yr.. everyone know EM is very competetive and if you have one yr of IM exp.. you are a bettter candidate for EM

i can change my PS now??????r u serious , but the programs have downloaded my PS already
can i change now,and can i apply to prelims now , do i have to apply separetly for prelims or just click on the box near the prelims and submit??plz advice

so far you still can change, but it depends on the program whether they are going to read your newly updated file or not. Maybe you can call them to inform.
For prelim, you can change and put a check on it but as I stated before that it will depend on the program to read or not read it. Good luck!

Just say to e a good er physician you have to be a good IM doc, so you plan to finish this residency, see if you like er, if not continue in IM.
