bacterial vaginosis
Metronidazole at 500 mg twice a day for 7 days or metronidazole gel 0.75% intravaginally twice a day for 5 days is the treatment of choice. Avoid the gel in the first trimester of pregnancy

kaplan gyn says that metronidazole is safe even in first trimester but USMLE world says it can be teratogenic in first trimester!! which is right?

So i guess that if you had a choice, choose clindamycin or Metronidazole cream (topical) because those are not systemically absorbed. Second best choice would be metro oral...
