A small clinic located in a Texas boarder town receives a high volume of pts suffering from a variety of STDs. Many of the pt are foriegn workers lacking residency documentation and therefore follow up tc is difficult. Local prostitutes serve both the foriegn workers and the local residents, thus providing a critical link for introduction of a variety of diseases previously not encountered. One male pt complained of a venereal infection which was a 1 cm irritated, soft chancre like, penile lesion. He also had regional lymphadenitis
