hi every one.
I was wondering when I can say I will not get more interviews.
it is 26 nov by now and I applied to 80 programs and only got 2 interviews and about 15 rejection. with more than 60 programs dead silent
So should I consider that this is it or should I expect to have more interviews. if not yet when it is done for interviews.

we might receive some more "left over" IVs from now until Jan. The peak is over, at least I think

People will always say to hang in there bec. you can get interviews all the way into late dec/early jan. But realistically, I think it's about +90% over. Good luck to everyone.

Agree with you. But in this season even a single interview can make the difference. And the call can come in january. so there is still hope but dont hold your breath. focus on what you've got and be prompt at interview day.

I rcvd two emals today, saying that they have inited me for an interview but want me to contact them with my availability dates as all their slots for iv are filled.... I am not sure if i will ever get to attend these places, as I have given them only 8 dates when I can attend... lets see...
The point is.. you might still get a few calls, but the peak season is over in my view..

I got two interviews in 1 week. then silence I thought they were waiting for my step1 score and it is here but I got 2 rejections and nothing else.
May be they were busy for the holidays

Mohelgamal, I received a rej from one place today saying that with so many thousands of candidates for such few positions, it is impossible to decide, & decisions about interviews are totally arbitrary. Don't know if we are supposed to feel good or bad about that 
Creds - 96 / 97 / pass / no USCE / need visa
Applied mid-sept with both scores to 100 programs - 2 interviews, 30 rejections.

Good news Guys. I got a 3rd interview today.
for the record I started applying late septmeber may be 3 weeks after the application were opened. but at the time of the application I only had step2 score. later on I got step 1.
I applied to every surgery program in NY NJ PA MI , and to non university programs in CT and others. both my interviews were in MI.
I applied all to preliminary.
I also applied for transitional year in 2 PA hospitals with no response.
strange thing is that the interview I went to were very good. they told me that I have an impressive CV and that they will rank me high. but I realized that many of those in the interview day were more qualified than me. so it is possible they say so to every one.

this is very sad
so many applicants with even good scores are having so few interviews
after so much hard work and expense..this
i feel applications should be restricted to 5 per person
then maybe all will have a better chance

yes, if they tell you they will rank you high. DONT TRUST THEM. in 1 interview the PD told me nice things about me but when the IV day ended i talked with a couple of the other candidates and he told them the same thing  . So, let's be careful

Guys, pls hang on. I got one IV yesterday and 2 last monday. At this time, even 1 interview would defenitely make a difference.

I got a 4th interview at mount sinai, ny but they gave me a very late date 23 jan Does anyone know something about that
