anyone can guide me about cell ( mobile ) connection - pre paid for travellers for one month.. my vodafone connection on roaming is very expensive... i have tried to look... lanning to go and suf the streets tomorrow.. if anyone has any network sugestions or any price plan sugestions plz.

You can buy pre-paid sim cards for most major u.s. cell phone companies. If you run out you can just refill the card. Check out t-moblie-to-go at tmobile.com You buy the sim card and it comes with a new phone number, put it into your phone, and your good to go.

I got a package...I think it is good.. I am posting this for others in case someone else like me wants info..
Cingular - 49.99 dollars - 400 minutes, night and weekend calls free to any US number and free incoming international calls, $1.50 for outgoing international calls.. with web browsing and sms service.... it might look expensive,,,, but the reason i liked it is bcos i have to make frequent internatinal calls and I am mostly staying in hotels...

great deal. tmobile doesnt give webbrowsing. it is very cheap in comaprison to US PRICES.

Moozy get a calling card like pingo and use it for ur international calls, u will save a lot of money.

thanks.... my hotel des has some.. will get them...
Also I did not now until now that my hotel had a courtesy shuttle in radius of 20 blocks till 10 pm every day.. so basially, it is convenient moving in PHILLY market street and also to go for my interview in few days...i already enjoy my stay here

I bought the tracfone from Walmart...bad idea, it was costing me more then my cell phone from home...however at the end of my stay, and after being in 6 states I was able to return it to Walmart, no questions asked...so at least I saved that cost.

mine is sprint, 5 cents to UK.... also rechargable on phone
Bought 10 dollar card from Speedypin.com --- 0.7cents per min to Karachi
