A previously healthy 50y/o man comes to doc b/c of a 4mo h/o of increased urinary vol & freq at night. He currently weighs 210 lbs &BP is160/86 in both arms. His father has HTN & his mother has HTN & TYPE2 DM. He has had a 6kg wt loss &no change in appetite. Examn shows no other abnl. His non fasting serum glucose level is 280 mg/dl. WOF is most likely to be increased in this patient? a)insulin b)Bico3 c)ketones d)HDL cholestrol e)glucagon

HAI, STAR1 CAN YOU PLEASE TELL HOW INSULIN IS INCREASED IN THIS PATIENT?

This Patient has Type II DM and in this type of DM , problem is not with insulin secretion but its rather due to insulin resistance , so my reason is due to Hyperglycemia Insulin will be increased but due to resistance it cant work normally
