Menieres disease presents with episodic vertigo, tinnitus ,sensorineural hearing loss &is more common in females &occurs in patients with syphilis or following head trauma. Labyrinthitis usually has a h/o URI

thanks s2006. One last question....if MRI/CT shows no abnormalities then you can rule out an acoustic neuroma as a cause right?

MRI/CT IF NO ABNL THEN U CAN R/O ACOUSTIC NEUROMA. ACOUSTIC NEUROMA CAN PRODUCE VERTIGO ,TINNITUS OR NEUROLOGICAL SIDE EFFECTS

Acoustic neuroma also has nausea, in the morning or also when changing positions.
