A 40-year-old man who works in a gravel pit is brought to the emergency department after being hit in the chest by a slab of cement. He does not smoke and does not have a cough. An x-ray of the chest does not show any fractures, but multiple small nodules are seen, some of which are calcified, in the upper lobes. A PPD skin test is negative. Which of the following is the most likely diagnosis?

A) Asbestosis
B) Berylliosis
C) Byssinosis
D) Industrial bronchitis
E) Silicosis
