hi, i plan to take step-1 in april.is it ok if i apply by feb end?or how many months prior one needs to apply?
how many days does it take from time of application to the time one gets the permit by mail?and do they mail to our address,is it registered post?or it goes to the mail box?i want to find out coz i may not be at the current address for a month during jan-feb.so worried if i apply now will i get it by jan mid,or should i apply after i get back in mid feb.i wanna take exam april end 2007.

Hello,
If your eligibility period begins with april, you must apply and send your documents by the end of february. I have no idea how they send the permit. I just applied, waiting for my permit. When i get it, i will let you know.
They sey that it usually takes 3- 4 weeks to process your application, if you apply now, you may get your permit by mid-jan

Hello again
I applied at the end of november and got my permit middle of december. Now they are sending it via e-mail, so address chance is no longer a problem.

thanks a lot,yes i read that on ecfmg web site.is it the same for c.s as well?they only mentioned about this e mail notification of exam permit for step-1 and c.k
