I want to ask all of you, which of these speciality can take people with the low score. and multiple attempts. I passed my usmle step 1 in 3rd attempt. And I wanted to apply for observership to any one of these speciality.
My score and my attempts are not that much good, so that I can take speciality of my choice but I want to apply in those program who take me easily.
Please help me.
Thank you.

Also depends on year of graduation and GC status - if you don't need a visa then you have a better shot than if you do, and recency matters

what i have noticed that its getting difficult to get iviews in fp as a lot of high scorers keep it as backup. peds ppl prefer past experience a lot. however i think psychiatry externships are easy to come by - try jamaica hospital in new york..
in the end do what u want to do. u might not like psych bcoz of the lack of "action". u might not like peds bcoz ur not gr8 with kids. u might not like fp bcoz of the vastness of the field. do what u like amongst these 3. bcoz u wil do it for the rest of ur life.. ___________________ Aut Invenam Viam Aut Faciam

hi guys,
thank you for your reply. Well if you ask me why I did medicine, then I don't have any answer. If I knew it that, I have to work hard as I'm now, then I would never choose to be a Doctor. But now I don't have any choice.
Well, I do have green card and I graduated in 2004, but I also pass my step 1, on 3rd time, and thats why I want to know what is the least speciality to apply for. Well if I say I like surgery then whats the deal, can I get that, for sure its not quiet possible for me.
The thing is that I want to be in the real world, and stop dreaming about getting residency in Radiology or Surgery or Anesthesiology. If I might be in my country then, I would go for Surgery but here no. I think it depend on where are you applying, I mean in which country. If I would be AMG, then, I would never think about FP. I think you all know now what I'm asking.
I'm glad that you guys are helping me. Thank you.

Since you have a GC - you might have a chance at both FM and IM pgms esp those that don't provide visas

Investigate each pgm you're interested in - go to their web site and look at the application process links. Most pgm are quite clear on the # of attempts and what kind of scores they prefer. Sometimes, the details are not what you want clarified - so the send them an email and follow up wwith a call. It sounds and IS a lot of work, but it saves you from spending a lot of $$ on ERAS!!!

TO flaw is the name of the law and there is no dearth of disorder to order. To give it a statistical character I would say in the year 2000 there were 10,833 assaults ,2426 burglaries,887 murders ,1304 rapes ,2332 robberies making a total of 39188 grave crimes.Stats for the year 2006 could be found by contacting the police circuit for jamaica..
All information is objective ...plus i was kidding in my first sentence..In reality i dont know how safe /unsafe it is ..To me every area appears safe .
