is there a link between sarcoidosis and osteoporosis.i have read somewhere that sarcoidosis can lead to premature osteoporosis in a premenopausal women.

not sure but i believe it is possibile since sarcoidosis implies inflamation because of an unknown ag,and IL 1, 6 can cause osteoporosiswink

hypercalcemia in sarcoidosis results from taking the calcium out of the bones, hence-early osteoporosis

there is extrarenal synthesis of calcitriol in sarcoidosis and also alteration in PTH and PTH-related peptide
